WWW Wednesday: March 27, 2019

Happy Wednesday, everyone! How are you all doing?

It’s been a slow reading week for me. I’ve been stuck with the book I’m reading since last week and still not even close to finishing it. I also didn’t feel like starting a new one. So, reading-wise, as unproductive as my blogging. Since I can’t even find any motivation to write reviews. I just hope things go well in the next few days, especially since March is coming to a close, plus, the sun is finally showing more often. Crossed-fingers.

Anyway, let’s get into WWW Wednesday. A weekly meme hosted by Sam@Taking on a World of Words. To participate, just answer the three questions below and link back to her or simply put your answers in the comments section on her blog so she can check out your answers.

The three WWW questions are:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

Like I’ve said, I’m stuck with this book that I checked out from the library for a few days now. It is about what feels like a wild goose chase of the clever female assassin called Witch. No one knows her real identity and even what she looks like, as if she never really exists. Despite the authorities best effort, catching her proved to be challenging. And though I find it all very interesting, it failed to hold my interest that much after a couple of chapters. There are too many characters to follow that it gets confusing at times. Still, I don’t want to abandon it as I want to see how it will end.

The Last Thing She Told Me got an intriguing premise, for sure. Nicola was told by her grandmother moments before she died to take care of her babies in the garden. And when her daughter finds a bone in the said garden, Nicola knows that what her grandmother said is not just a nonsense rambling of a dying woman. Though this novel is quite predictable as the story goes, it is also very engaging. It is an emotional one but very satisfying read.

I plan to read the romcom Perfect Match to have a breather from the thrillers. It’s about a woman who’s been trying to look for love online but always ends up picking the wrong guys. She’s about ready to give up online dating when her best friend persuaded her to try it one last time and this time, she must describe her “perfect” man. And when a guy comes along ticking every box of her “perfect” man, she can’t hardly believe her luck. Looks promising, eh?

How about you? What’s your WWW this week? Feel free to share yours down the comments. Have a good day!

  1. I hope you get out of your reading slump and can finish your book! I am currently reading Vicious by V.E. Shwab and Station 11. I just finished Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor and Shadow of the Fox by Julie Kagawa 🙂

    1. Thanks! I really hope so, too! Those books sound really interesting. I’ve been hearing a lot of raves from those authors. I hope I can get to read those books one day, too. 🙂
