WWW Wednesday: August 15, 2018

Hi, everyone!

I hope you are all doing great. It’s Wednesday once again and it’s time for another WWW post.

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam@Taking on a World of Words. To participate, just answer the three questions below and link back to her or simply put your answers in the comments section on her blog so she can check out your answers.

The three WWW questions are:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

You know I love reading about missing person trope, but I find Not Her Daughter extra interesting because it involves an unlikely kidnapper. A successful businesswoman who take another woman’s child because she thinks she’s rescuing her in an abusive home. I really like how it started and I hope the pacing stays fast. It seems to be an exciting read and I can’t wait to find out what’s going to happen.

This is such a disturbing novel and I still don’t know how to write a review about it. One thing’s for sure, though. It is an impressive debut and the writing is excellent. It is about a seven-year-old little girl who’s never spoken a word and is planning on getting rid of her own mother so she can have her father all for herself. Creepy, right?

I can’t even remember requesting this one on NetGalley but I’ll give it a try. I want to read something light and funny and since the blurb is marketing it as a romantic comedy, might as well pick this one. It is about a marriage for convenience between a struggling make-up artist who out of the blue was left with a fortune by her grandmother and a duke who has a massive debt to pay. I’m pretty sure they’ll end up together nonetheless but let’s see how funny this is.

That’s it for my WWW. See you again next Wednesday and feel free to share your own WWWs below. Have a good day!

    1. So far, it really seems like that. I’m beginning to question a lot of things but it’s still super interesting. I can’t wait to see what else will happen. 🙂

    1. When you put it that way, I guess it could be really daunting for some. It doesn’t matter that the mother in the story is not the ideal one. But, yeah, it is a really interesting read. Makes you wonder if there’s such a thing as good kidnapping. 🙂
