NetGalley Haul of the Week

Hello, everyone? How are you all doing?

I’ve been feeling a little under the weather the past couple of days and hasn’t been able to go online. My head tortured me so bad, I can’t even enjoy reading. Fortunately, it didn’t go into full-blown flu and after some afternoon naps and much-needed rest, I’m feeling much better.

But, anyway, let me share to you today four new NetGalley titles I acquired for the week. There are a lot of amazing new titles but I managed to restrain myself from requesting more, and also, some are not really available to me. So, here goes my approved books.

One hot summer’s afternoon, five-year-old Ava Sawyer went to a party. She never came home…

When five-year-old Ava Sawyer goes missing from a birthday party at a local garden centre, the police are bewildered by the lack of leads. That is until two years later, when Ava’s body is found and another little girl, Audrey Briggs, goes missing. Audrey also attended that party …

Leading the investigation is Detective Natalie Ward. A mother of two teenagers, this case chills her to the bone, and is a disturbing reminder of the last job she worked on. One that ended very badly.

Natalie soon discovers that Ava’s mother has some worrying gaps in her alibi and as she digs deeper, she’s sure Ava’s father is not telling the full story. And what did the owner of the garden centre Elsa see that day? Something that she’s not telling Natalie …

Just as Natalie is facing up to the grim possibility that Ava and Audrey were killed by someone close to home, another little girl from the party doesn’t come home from her ballet lesson. Can Natalie find a way to stop this killer before more innocent lives are taken?

Kirsten Green has gone missing.

I killed Kirsten Green.

Seventeen-year-old Hayley Reynolds is unwanted at home, and an outsider at school. Pushed away by her best friend Kirsten Green, she makes a deliberate, chilling decision – if Kirsten can’t belong to her, then she won’t belong to anyone…

DI Beverley Samuels has the body of a schoolgirl on her hands – a murder that brings back the hauntingly painful memories of the case she’s tried so desperately to forget. There’s something deeply disturbing about this crime – and yet with little hard evidence it’s up to her to decide who she will believe…

  1. Hope you’re feeling better by now. 🙂 I can’t decide if I want to read The Birthday or not, the cover is somewhat a turn off because it’s exactly the same as Not Her Daughter but change the shoe color and that just bugs me for some reason.
