book blog

WWW Wednesday: July 18, 2018

Hey, guys!

How’s your reading coming along? Luckily for me, I managed to kick out the looming reading slump and is now back on my usual reading pace. I guess it helped that I pick up a really good book that I devoured in just a couple of days. Anyway, we’re down to Wednesday and so it’s time for another WWW post.

WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Sam@Taking on a World of Words. To participate, just answer the three questions below and link back to her or simply put your answers in the comments section on her blog so she can check out your answers.

The three WWW questions are:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

Pamela Crane - Pretty Ugly Lies_cover_3

I was easily captured by the cover of this book, the colors stood out, for sure. I just started reading this book and I’ve just read the first chapter wherein it immediately starts with a gruesome murder scene. I am instantly curious and can’t wait to see how the story will proceed.

the secret

This is my first from the author and I’d say I’m totally impressed. I am easily engrossed with the story of sisters who can’t be any more different with each other. With them is a kid who’s hiding a terrible secret that’s been eating at him for a long time. I thought I had things figured out and even thought that it’s too easy and predictable. But, nope. It saved the surprising twist until the end and made this a satisfying read.

I’ll be reading The Next Girl by Carla Kovach next since I just got the second book of the series. The cover is really lovely and I’m hoping the story and the series won’t disappoint.

There goes my WWW for this week. See you again next Wednesday and feel free to share your own WWWs below. Have a good day!
