It’s been ages since I do tags. And since I’m using a new laptop, I haven’t gotten around to transferring all the links I’ve been tagged with. Anyway, I would like to thank the lovely Karen of Sincerely Karen Jo for tagging me in the “I Dare You” Book Tag. Go, check out her page. 🙂
- You must be honest
- You must answer all of the questions
- You must tag at least 4 people
1 – WHAT BOOK HAS BEEN ON YOUR SHELF THE LONGEST?
I have a few way back in the Philippines, but here in France, it’s The Merde Factor by Stephen Clarke. I got it the first time I went to France about 3 years ago but still haven’t gotten around to reading it. Knowing now that it is a part of a series, I am not so keen on picking it up anytime soon.
2 – WHAT IS YOUR CURRENT READ, YOUR LAST READ, AND THE BOOK YOU’LL READ NEXT?
3 – WHAT BOOK DID EVERYONE LIKE, BUT YOU HATED?
Honestly, I can’t really think of any book I don’t like yet everyone love. After going through my Goodreads list, I’d say there’s no such book for me.
4 – WHAT BOOK DO YOU KEEP TELLING YOURSELF YOU’LL READ, BUT YOU PROBABLY WON’T?
The Merde Factor, I guess.
5 – WHAT BOOK ARE YOU SAVING FOR YOUR RETIREMENT?
Every single book on my TBR that I haven’t gotten around to reading.
6 – LAST PAGE – READ IT FIRST OR WAIT TIL’ THE END?
Wait until the end, of course. 🙂
7 – ACKNOWLEDGEMENT: WASTE OF PAPER AND INK, OR INTERESTING ASIDE?
I like reading the dedication more. But some acknowledgement can be really fun and interesting to read.
8 – WHICH BOOK CHARACTER WOULD YOU SWITCH PLACES WITH?
I’d copy Karen’s answer and go with Hermione, as well.
9 – DO YOU HAVE A BOOK THAT REMINDS YOU OF SOMETHING SPECIFIC IN YOUR LIFE? (PLACE, TIME, PERSON?)
Nothing really comes to mind.
10 – NAME A BOOK THAT YOU ACQUIRED IN AN INTERESTING WAY
The Charm of Revenge by Tom Secret. I won the book in Goodreads. What’s interesting is how the publisher sent me 3 copies in three different times despite letting them know I already received a copy.
11 – HAVE YOU EVER GIVEN A BOOK AWAY FOR A SPECIAL REASON TO A SPECIAL PERSON?
Not really. I like gifting books to people I know who likes to read, though.
12 – WHICH BOOK HAS BEEN WITH YOU MOST PLACES?
I don’t usually carry books around when I’m out. I just get an ebook instead so I can read anywhere.
13 – ANY “REQUIRED READING” YOU HATED IN HIGH SCHOOL THAT WASN’T SO BAD TWO YEARS LATER
Last week, I finished The Scarlet Letter manga version and it’s okay, unlike when I read it back in high school. I just skimmed it and didn’t even remember any of it. It’s not 2 years later, though.
14 – USED OR BRAND NEW?
Brand new will always be the best but I don’t really mind used books as long as they are in good condition.
15 – HAVE YOU EVER READ A DAN BROWN BOOK?
Yup! Three of them. Deception Point. Angels & Demons. The Da Vinci Code.
16 – HAVE YOU EVER SEEN A MOVIE THAT YOU LIKED MORE THAN THE BOOK?
Not a movie but a TV series. I prefer the Dexter TV show than the book series.
17 – HAVE YOU EVER READ A BOOK THAT’S MADE YOU HUNGRY, COOKBOOKS INCLUDED?
Oh, this one’s easy. Ella’s Ice-Cream Summer by Sue Watson. All that ice cream flavors will surely make your mouth waters.
18 – WHO IS THE PERSON WHO’S BOOK ADVICE YOU’LL ALWAYS TAKE?
That would be me. I don’t know a lot of people who reads as much as I do, well, aside from you fellow bloggers here. So I don’t really ask anyone’s advice when it comes to books. But recommendation’s always welcome. 🙂
19 – IS THERE A BOOK OUT OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE (OUTSIDE OF YOUR USUAL READING GENRE) THAT YOU ENDED UP LOVING?
Broken by Megan Hart. It is the very first Megan Hart book I’ve read and I’ve been reading her books since.
I won’t be tagging anyone. Just feel free to do it if you want. Ciao! 🙂
