Des is back!

Hey you, guys, how you all have been? After 2 months of being MIA, I am finally back to blogging. I haven’t checked my blog or others blog in those 2 months and honestly, I am feeling quite a bit lost on how to proceed with my blogging. So, I decided to just ramble away on what’s happened to me the past months that I was away and I hope you bear with me.

For those of you who didn’t know (or forgot), I went on a vacation with my husband, Adrien, in the Philippines. For Adrien, it is actually a vacation but for me, it will always be coming back home.Β πŸ˜ƒΒ

We don’t really have any intention of traveling this year but my father asked if it’s possible for us to come home for his 60th birthday. And when my father asked you to do something, you do it. Well, not really. But it sure is one good excuse to tell my husband why we “need” to book a plane ticket to the Philippines. As if he really needs convincing.Β

So, I spent the one and half months that I am home from meeting friends and relatives to just enjoying my family’s company.Β  Mostly with my adorable 3-month-old niece and 2-year-old nephew. They are such a joy to be with.

My college friends who visited me at home despite their busy schedules. ☺️

With that short amount of time, my family and I made sure to maximize it.Β πŸ˜ƒ

Just looking at these photos is enough for homesickness to kick in. 😩 A week before Christmas, we had to leave and go back to France. For the past few years, Adrien has been spending Christmas and New Year in the Philippines with my family and this time, my in-laws wanted to spend it with us. As much as I want to spend it with my family, I know I have to accept my situation that it won’t always be possible. Compromise is the key. I am blessed enough to be able to spend a few weeks with my family. Besides, I am quite thrilled with the new experience, as well. It is my first Christmas away from home and my in-laws are so very nice (and generous!) to me from the very start. I know I don’t have anything to worry about.

Only, coupled with the very cold weather and jetlag, I got sick with flu few days after landing in France. I spent most of the time in bed, just sleeping, with my husband at my beck and call. We did manage to spend the Christmas with my in-laws despite me being sick, though, after I was back in bed. I’m still not 100% at this moment, but fine enough to at least be able to read and write something coherent.Β

Reading-wise, I managed to read a few books but blogging, I am so behind my reviews. January will definitely be a busy month for me, blogging-wise. At least I hope it will. I need to find the drive to start writing my reviews because right now, I am still in vacation mode.Β

Also, because my lazy mode was in full swing when I was in the Philippines, I totally forgot about my blog anniversary. So, yeah, I’ve been blogging for over a year now and despite the laziness, I’ve no plan of stopping anytime soon. It is such a joy to be accepted with open arms in the blogging community and be able to share my thoughts and opinion freely. I’ll forever be grateful to those people who never get tired visiting my blog and reading whatever stuff I post. You, guys, are the reason why I keep doing this despite having doubts about my capability as a writer sometimes. Knowing that there are people who find time to read my piece is already a strong enough motivation for me to keep going. Thank you! It means a lot to me. To my fellow bloggers, you are all an inspiration one way or another. It is such a pleasure to meet all of you. To my followers, thank you so much. You make blogging extra special.Β

Happy Holidays, everyone! It is good to be back! ☺️
