TBR September-October

What’s up, fellow bookworms? How you doin’? I know I haven’t been around lately and I don’t really have a good excuse aside from I don’t feel motivated to blog. I guess I’ll just called it a blogging slump. I’ll try my best to be more productive in the coming weeks, though, before our vacation and I hope I can write and post more. And read more. Since I’m drowning on my TBRs already and yet I keep adding more titles. Just last week, I added 5 titles from NetGalley. I should probably stop browsing the site to avoid temptation, but it’s just so hard to resist. I’m not even guilty. 😁 So, anyway, I list down below some interesting books I’m planning to read for the next few days, all courtesy of NetGalley.

33295183Suburban New Jersey Detective Napoleon “Nap” Dumas hasn’t been the same since senior year of high school, when his twin brother Leo and Leo’s girlfriend Diana were found dead on the railroad tracks—and Maura, the girl Nap considered the love of his life, broke up with him and disappeared without explanation. For fifteen years, Nap has been searching, both for Maura and for the real reason behind his brother’s death. And now, it looks as though he may finally find what he’s been looking for.
When Maura’s fingerprints turn up in the rental car of a suspected murderer, Nap embarks on a quest for answers that only leads to more questions—about the woman he loved, about the childhood friends he thought he knew, about the abandoned military base near where he grew up, and mostly about Leo and Diana—whose deaths are darker and far more sinister than Nap ever dared imagine.

She’s coming; it will be soon.
They will run free on the moors again. The Hunt will return.
And the ground will run with blood.
An ancient curse placed on a family of witches foretells that twins will be born – one good, one evil; and one will destroy the other. But who can be trusted when no one is as they seem?

As Steven questions Emily, she repeatedly scratches out the same odd symbol he sees when he closes his eyes. A thrilling suspense ensues as Steven must get inside Emily’s head to solve a mystery without a crime—a mystery that is connected to him in ways he can’t even begin to fathom.

30962267I have three months to write the last book of my life. Three months to confess the details of that day, and how it changed everything for me.
My name is Helena Ross. I’ve written fifteen romance novels, ten of which have become international bestsellers. But this one isn’t a romance, no Happily Ever After in place. This novel holds only the truth, which I have run away from for four years. The truth, which I have hidden from the police, from my loved ones, from the world.
This final book?
It’s my confession.

35922915A year after she separated from her husband, Gianni, on Christmas Day, Chloe’s heart is still in pieces as she unpacks the decorations for her first ever festive holiday alone. That is, until the phone rings…
It seems Gianni’s new seaside restaurant is in trouble and Chloe must go to Appledore to save the business – and him. Equally famous for his experimental culinary extravaganzas and his explosive temper, Gianni has been really stirring up a sensation with the locals – and not in a good way!
As pans fly and the temperature in the kitchen rises, Chloe’s calming influence and magic touch might just get critics back on side in time to save the restaurant from sinking like a sad soufflé. But will it be enough to save their marriage?

Anything from my list you find interesting? Will you be adding it on your TBR? Also, do share what’s on your TBR, too. 🙂

    1. Good plan. 😄 I tend to not follow my TBR sometimes, too. But since I started blogging, it has been a lot easier to decide what to read next than spend hours choosing. 😄

  1. A nice list! I really want to read Don’t Let Go and have had to talk myself out of requesting it several times since I have so many other books to read…for school and review, lol!! I will probably have to wait until Christmas break! Have fun with all of them and on your vacation! 🙂 ❤
