Jigsaw Puzzle: Perle par Misstigri

It’s  been ages since I posted anything about my jigsaw puzzles. So now, I will squeeze in one post about another pastime of mine. When I was in the Philippines, I wasn’t that interested in puzzles. But when I stayed in France for a few months a couple of years ago and I was left alone at home everytime my husband go to work, I feel the need to do something else aside from reading. And that’s how my fascination with jigsaw puzzles started. Just like reading, I can get lost in it for hours, plus I feel high with satisfaction upon finishing one.

This time, it’s one I did a few months back. It’s from Nathan Puzzle that is actually under Ravensburger France, so the quality is exactly the same as Ravensburger, which offers great quality puzzles, by the way. It’s called Perle par Misstigri (Perle by Misstigri). Misstigri is an alias of the independent artist Valérie Moigne, who created “Les Misstinguettes” that features designs, drawings, and paintings of female characters such as Perle.

Perle par Misstigri has 1,000 jigsaw puzzle pieces with the approximated finish size of 50 x 70 cm. It looks lovely and it was such a challenge to complete since it was my first 1,000 pieces puzzle. It took me about 5 days finishing it, sitting on it for the maximum of 2 hours a day. A slight difficult one but totally fun.

  1. Waw this looks wonderful, what a lovely design… it’s not so easy to find attractive puzzles but this one definitely is ! It also makes me want to start on a puzzle myself now :-). I’m going to see if I can find this one! I hope you do more posts like this ;-).

  2. I love jigsaw puzzles! I used to do them an awful lot when I was about 13 to 15. I would confine myself to my room, do puzzles for hours!
Funny as it might sound, I would do the same puzzle over and over again, creating different rules, like, you can’t move on to the next row until you have all the piece fitting in the row you’re working on. Awww, this post made me wanna do puzzles again!

    1. Wow, that sounds so challeging, Noriko. I haven’t tried that but maybe I can do that on my next puzzle to add a little more challenge. 🙂 You should! It is super fun. It’ll be cool to share jigsaw puzzles, too! 😄
